Dr. Nashida Beckett is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer. She also treats other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails for patients of all ages and skin types. Dr. Beckett’s formal education and training include:
- Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) – BA, Biology & Society
- George Washington University (Washington, DC) – Master of Public Health
- Howard University College of Medicine (Washington, DC) – Doctor of Medicine
- Washington Hospital Center (Washington, DC) – Internal Medicine Internship
- Howard University Hospital (Washington, DC) – Dermatology Residency
Dr. Beckett has been published in professional journals and has presented at numerous national and regional dermatology meetings. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). She has also spent time treating patients abroad in Botswana through the University of Pennsylvania-Botswana Partnership.
Dr. Beckett enjoys practicing general dermatology and treating patients of all ages and skin types. Her special interests include dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She believes in the importance of building strong relationships with her patients to provide the best care possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
